Reading midfielder Jem Karacan has expressed his disappointment at the officials of the game between Cardiff last Saturday, which saw the Royals lose 2-1.

The referee turned down several Reading penalty claims and disallowed Jimmy Kebe an equalising goal in the 48th minute, which was flagged for offside when replays suggested otherwise.

Karacan told the official RFC site: ‘We gave away a couple of goals when we could have done better and there were a couple of debatable decisions, I’ve seen blatant handballs.

The Turkish U21 international also had a brilliant chance to equalise but Marshall saved his effort from 15 yards out. Saying: ‘ I’ll hold my hands up, I should have scored.’

Reading will now move to the next game at Ipswich Town this Saturday. Paul Jewell’s side are on a poor run as they have lost their last four in a row.
