Jem’s convinced its not over yet

Us Royals fans have appeared to given up all hope on survival, but Jem Karacan is convinced mission impossible is still on.

The loss to Southampton on Saturday has near enough secured the Royals’ eventual fate and drop back down to the Championship. Despite the gap between ourselves and safety now standing at eight points, Jem still feels that if the side were to go on a winning run, then the impossible could well happen!

Speaking to the Official Reading FC website, Jem said: ‘We’ve got to keep going on. There’s another three points up for grabs on Saturday and we’ve got to give it everything we’ve got until it’s mathematically done. All we can do is keep going. We’ll keep going until the end – the boys have got great spirit, we’ve shown that year after year.

‘No one can fault us for that, we always keep going until the final whistle. The new gaffer has come in and tried to get us all going again. We’ve got a few games left, we want to finish the season on a high and we’ve got to get three points on Saturday. We have in it us to go on a run, we’ve shown that last season and this season.’
