A round up of all Reading players representing their country around the globe……

Central defender Adrian Mariappa made just his fifth cap for Jamaica on Friday, as they overcame an early Clint Dempsey goal to beat the USA 2-1. The two sides will once again face off on Tuesday, but the American’s will be on their home turf.

The Reading Welsh contingent all played a part in Wales’ 2-0 loss to Belgium on Friday night. Defender Chris Gunter and striker Simon Church both started in the World Cup qualifier, with Church very unlucky not to win a penalty, being bundled over by Vincent Kompany. Forward Hal Robson-Kanu replaced Church with 20 minutes to go.

As usual, central defender Kaspars Gorkss captained his native side Latvia, but could not get a result against former European Champions Greece as they lost 2-1 in Riga. Young defender Pierce Sweeney was also in Latvia with the Republic of Ireland U19s, but they could only draw 1-1 with the home side.
