James Henry was very highly rated when he came through the Royals academy, and big things were expected of him at the Madejski Stadium. However he never really lived upto the hype and left to join Millwall this summer. Now ahead of the Royals visit to the New Den on Tuesday evening, Henry spoke highly of his time in Berkshire but he is pleased to be playing regular football in South London.

He spoke to the Reading Post on Monday, ‘I had a really fantastic experience at Reading, the 2008/09 season was probably the best for me as I played 11 games in total, scoring four goals.’

Whilst he clearly holds the club in high regard, he is pleased to be playing for Millwall manager Kenny Jackett.

‘After that, the chances I got at Reading were few and far between, so it was the right time to join another club. The manager trusts me and moving to Millwall was the obvious answer.’

Despite that, he will look out for a few of the players he grew up with after the game but will hope to have secured three points by then.

‘There are a few players I grew up with at Reading who I will look out for after the game. But now I am at Millwall. And on the day I will be doing everything I can to help us win against Reading.’
