Chris Gunter started for Wales in their narrow 2-1 victory over Andorra, but received some criticism from Welsh fans.
Fellow Welshman Jake Taylor unfortunately didn’t earn his first senior cap for his country, as he was an unused substitute from the bench. Gunter however played the full ninety minutes at right wing- back, but going by these tweets, didn’t seem to impress for Chris Coleman’s side.
Has Gunter ever found a team mate with a cross?

Matthews got to be right back when fit surely, Gunter poor.

I hate Gunter…most negative footballer ever…goes back on himself every time!

So, it seems that he struggled in a more advanced role, which isn’t surprising, as Gunter has never been the most effective going forward. He will offer his hand overlapping, but his crossing has never been perfect, but his work rate and defensive abilities are usually undoubted.
