First friendly scheduled for Royals

Reading have announced their first pre-season season friendly, with their opponents being Wycombe Wanderers.

The game will take place on Saturday 13th July at Adams Park, with Nigel Adkins’ side kicking off at 3pm. Their opponents finished 15th in League Two this season, under the leadership of player/ manager Gareth Ainsworth, who retired from playing at the end of the current campaign.

The Royals played Wycombe in a friendly three years ago, where goals from Hal Robson-Kanu and Gylfi Sigurdsson completed a successful 2-1 win over the Chairboys. It will be good to see a few fans make the short trip up to Adams Park to support the team.
