Maybe it wasn’t a dreadful rumour after all, as Anton Ferdinand was pictured at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
The 29-year old was having pictures with fans at the Swansea friendly on Saturday, as he was sitting in one of the directors boxes. Ferdinand was set to sign for Thai side Police United, but the move fell through as he would not have been able to register in time.

Going by the cliche of no smoke without a fire, it wouldn’t be surprising if he signed for us in the coming days. Reading Post writer Charles Watts quized Nigel Adkins on the matter after the game and remained very coy, essentially hinting that it could be happening.

Fans seem to be debating whether it would be a good move or not – especially as we have Pearce and Morrison. Considering that it looks as if Hector is going to be used as a central midfielder until the injury crisis is over, maybe it is a deal that would make sense.
