Midfielder Scott Davies has joined League One side Bristol Rovers on loan for a month. He has joined up with his new team mates and will be eligible to make his debut on Saturday against Walsall.

Davies was out at Wycombe earlier in the season and he had been expected to join the Chairboys but a groin injury put pay to his loan spell, and any permanent move.

The Davies situation is a baffling one though to be honest, he started last season in the first team and looked a really promising player. However he struggled to get in the side regular under Brendan Rodgers and Brian McDermott has followed suit, prefering to play more experienced player in the middle of the park.

However when speaking fans of sides where he has been on loan, especially Wycombe, they are amazed that he is not in our squad at the very least. It continues to look like he won’t have a future here, which is a shame for a player who promised so much.
