Reading travel to Coventry on the back of a confidence boosting win against Doncaster last week while the Sky Blues are still recovering from their 3-0 loss to struggling Ipswich

Vital Quotes:

Reading boss Brian McDermott – ‘We’re pleased for the team that played last weekend, but we’re also pleased for the whole squad that we got that win. They have got players that can cause you all sorts of problems, going away in the Championship is never easy.’

Coventry manager Andy Thorn – ‘I went to watch them the other night against Doncaster and we know what they are about and we will prepare for that but we are still concentrating on us and the problems we can cause them because on our day we can beat anybody in this league.’

Former Coventry and current Reading midfielder Jay Tabb – ‘It is a really solid club. They’ve got an amazing stadium, a nice training ground and everything is there for them to be a top Championship side or even higher. It hasn’t happened for them in the last couple of seasons but they’ll be looking for a big result on Saturday, as we are.’

Coventry Team News:

City will be missing winger Carl Baker who has an ankle problem but striker Clive Platt is set to feature. Richard Wood and Gary Deegan are still out of tomorrows game.

Player to watch: Gary McSheffrey

The tricky winger come striker has been out injured since the start of the season but has regained fitness and is expected to cause the Royals defence some problems with his strong left foot.

Reading Team News:

Reading are monitoring the fitness of winger Jimmy Kebe after he had to come off against Doncaster last week. Hal Robson-Kanu has recovered from his knock picked up last week, as new signing Cedric Baseya is unlikely to be in the squad.

Player to watch: Simon Church

The Welsh international is starting to pick up his pre-season form gain after recovering from a thigh problem. Was MotM last week against Doncaster and his movement is bound to cause the Sky Blues defence some problems.
