Chelsea striker linked with Royals

We may have no clear ownership at the moment, but it hasn’t stopped us being linked with early window targets.

According to the Daily Star, young Chelsea forward Islam Feruz is being allowed to leave the club on loan, with ourselves, Derby, Brighton and Cardiff being linked with him. I do doubt whether Cardiff are interested though, as it seems they have plenty enough strikers.

The 18-year old signed a long-term contract with the Blues in January, where he is highly-rated. Feruz has played at all youth levels for Scotland, after spending the majority of his youth career at Celtic, from whom Chelsea bought him for compensation worth £300,000.

I’d imagine that strikers are high on our priority list for the upcoming window, but the ownership situation needs to be sorted first. However, it seems that the loan system at this moment in time is something that we need to try and exploit in the coming months.
