As I was cycling through the transfer specials in the odds markets, I came across Adam Le Fondre and prices on his next club. Courtesy of Sky Bet*, here they are…..

Nott. Forest 8/1
Cardiff 10/1
Everton 16/1
Newcastle 16/1
West Brom 16/1

Sunderland 20/1
Leicester 25/1
Swansea 33/1

Brian McDermott and Leeds the odds on destination if he leaves, I’m still struggling to see how that makes sense? I feel we are in a better position that Leeds at the moment and would Alfie want to go and play for a manager that barely started him anyway? I think not.

At the end of the day, Alfie is not going to find a better team than us to start for, which would be the only motivation for him to leave. Judging by Adkins and ALF’s most recent quotes, it appears that Nige is going to try and accommodate him more next season anyway.

I agree he is not good enough to start in the Premier League, but after this season, I think he is ready to start at Championship level, presuming Adkins reverts to a 4-4-2 system. If we were to sell him, I wouldn’t take anything less than £3 million for him.
