It’s that time of year again, with the transfer window coming up, the usual rumour of Jobi McAnuff going to QPR has surfaced.

According to the Daily Mail, the recently relegated side will offer £500,000 for the Royals captain, who has one year left on his current contract at the Madejski Stadium. Championship winners Cardiff and Jobi’s former side Cardiff City have also been linked with a move.

As ever, probably just paper talk. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Jobi have his contract extended by a further year in the summer. We can probably still get one more decent season out of him under Adkins, but it is clear he is exploited much better through the middle, not on the wing.
