Al Habsi named Player Of The Season

Ali Al-Habsi was today named Reading’s player of the season after a very good few months for the stopper.

It was announced before the game that the top 3 would be Norwood, McShane and Al-Habsi and just before kick off, the Omani Keeper was awarded the player of the season award.

This is an incredible achievement for Ali after a quite dreadful first couple of months for him.

Al-Habsi was second choice behind Bond until October and during his first few games, he really struggled.

However, since the turn of the year, Ali has kept us in games and won us a number of points with some great saves.

With Ali winning it this year, it makes it two years in a row that our Goalkeeper has won player of the season which sums up the last two years here at Reading.
