Young Royals goalkeeper Simon Locke has joined Conference National side Forest Green Rovers on an emergency loan deal, which is due to expire on 28th December.
The 20-year old Reading academy product is yet to make a senior appearance for any team, despite loan spells at Dagenham & Redbridge and Gillingham.
Rovers were in the market for a new keeper as Watford recalled their keeper Jonathan Bond prematurely, meaning they only had one fit goalkeeper.
Locke signed a scholarship in the summer of 2008 and had already been involved in our under 18s as early as September 2007. He appeared in goal in our recent 2-0 loss to Wycombe.
