A last-gasp Wigan equaliser denied Reading a deserved victory at the DW Stadium, as the game finished 2-2 on the opening day of the season.
We started the game well at the DW Stadium, with Ryan Edwards forcing Carson into an early save, as the Pog pounced on a poor back pass. Despite our good start, the home side took the lead though, as Callum McManaman chipped Federici from a tight angle.
The second half was very much ours though, as we turned the pressure up a level on the home side. Scott Carson was forced into a few saves, before Shaun Cummings, out of all people, scored a very good equaliser from the edge of the area – his first for the club.
We weren’t finished there though, as Sean Morrison popped up to complete the comeback, as he converted from a Danny Guthrie free-kick. It looked as if we had the three points in the bag, but a last-minute James McArthur goal denied us the three points we deserved.
