Reading striker Simon Church could be on his way to Millwall in January

Reading striker Simon Church could be on his way to Millwall in January, according to NewsAtDen.co.uk.

The 24-year old’s loan deal at Huddersfield is set to run out in the next few weeks and it is unlikely that the Championship side will renew his tenure. However, rather than returning to Reading, Church could be on his way to The Den, who are searching for a new striking option, after failing in their attempt to resign Chris Wood.

Church, who is a Welsh international, is set to leave the Madejski Stadium at the end of the season, after deciding not to renew his contract. The Millwall-based website has stated that the Reading graduate will available for around £400k in January, which the Lions would be more than willing to pay.

It’s a shame that Church no longer has a future in Berkshire, but he never really improved from the age of 21. There were occasional signs of promise and potential, but I don’t think promotion to the Premier League helped his cause. No matter what happens, all Royals fans should wish Church the best in future footballing career.
