Vital poll: Did Pearce deserve to see red?

Alex Pearce’s sending off was the turning point in the Sheffield Wednesday defeat, but was it the right one?

Referee Keith Hill certainly thought so, who believed that Pearce dragged Benik Afobe down in the penalty area. Replays show that it may have been harsh on Pearce and Afobe made a meal of it, but the defender was out-muscled and got the wrong side of the striker.

Nigel Adkins is considering contesting the decision, but the referee would have been adjudged to have made an obvious error – with the ‘obvious’ emphasis probably meaning it will be unsuccessful. Either way, what did you think of the decision?
