Reading drew with Fulham in the Championship play-off first leg on Saturday.

Fulham hit back against Reading at Craven Cottage to earn a 1-1 draw, a result the visitors will most likely be the happiest with heading into next week’s second leg at Madejski Stadium – Jordan Obita, early in the second half, put the Royals ahead but a rare error from keeper Ali Al-Habsi was punished when Tom Cairney, he Fulham level with his 13th goal, from midfield, of the season.

Reading played out the final 10 minutes a man light following Paul McShane’s sending off. Fulham couldn’t find a winner, leaving this tie well balanced at ‘the half way stage’ as the clichés would say.
