Reading have shipped three of their young starlets out on loan in the past few days with the loan market opening yesterday.

Young midfielder Lawson D’Ath has been training with League One side Yeovil Town in an attempt to earn a loan deal with the Glovers. The 19-year old is known for his fantastic goalscoring ability from midfield and made his first appearance for the Royals against Stevenage in the FA Cup last month.

Striker Brett Williams has joined up with League Two outfit Northampton Town for a month. Williams had enjoyed a previous loan spell at Rotherham, where he scored two times for the Millers. However, he didn’t feature in Andy Scott’s first team plans and McDermott was therefore not keen to extend the loan.

Youth defender Angus McDonald has linked up with League Two side Torquay United on a deal until the end of the season. The academy captain has played at England youth level, before signing a professional contract in the summer. He is yet to make an appearance in the Football League.

Whether there will be any more outgoings remains to be seen but with Brian Howard and Mathieu Manset down the pecking order at the Madejski Stadium, it could mean spells away at fellow Championship or League One clubs.
