Manager: Nigel Pearson – The former Hull manager is in his second spell as Foxes boss, following a successful first spell, where he led them to the Championship. Leicester made a solid start to the campaign last year, but tailed off in the middle, which raised questions about Pearson’s future at the club. However, an end of season resurgence boosted the Foxes into the play off places, but came up short to Watford. Pearson’s future was questioned after a play-off finish too, but remains in his job for the time being – will there be pressure on him for a good start?

Key player: Wes Morgan – Many say that the central defender is one of or if not, the best defender in the division. Morgan is currently being chased by former club Nottingham Forest, but you can understand Leicester’s willingness to hold onto their key defender. The Foxes impressive defensive record was crucial to their play-off push and they will want to build on this for the upcoming campaign.

Season Preview – Leicester have the foundations for a top flight side, but have struggled to make that jump in recent years, with failed play-off games often their downfall. Nigel Pearson certainly has the squad there to mount a promotion challenge, but he will want to bring the best out in his quality players, such as Smiechel, Knockaert and Wood.
