Reading striker Adam Le Fondre has expressed his disappointment of the officials in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Burnley, despite the Royals walking away with all three points.
The 25-year old saw a goal in the first-half ruled out for offside which TV replays showed as onside, as well as Le Fondre being denied a stonewall penalty after being fouled by Amougou, which he would have most likely taken.
Le Fondre told the official RFC site: ”It was a great result, we deserved it, worked hard, got the better of the chances and Jem scored a crucial goal.’
Talking about the refereeing decisions, the former Rotherham man said: ‘It was stonewall, we all watched it back, how he’s not given it I’m in disbelief.’
‘As for the offside, please don’t talk to me about it, I’ve seen it and I’m onside! I’m not in the camera shot when Jobi crosses it, then when I’m in shot I’m still near enough onside.’
Le Fondre is set to again partner striker Simon Church up front against Derby tomorrow night, with Jimmy Kebe possibly making the team as captain Jobi McAnuff is a doubt.
