You can expect to hear many rumours leading upto the close of the transfer window on Tuesday at 6pm, but one that we have heard that is worrying us is Gylfi Sigurdsson to German club Hoffenheim.

One of Iceland’s biggest newspapers, Morgunblaðið, is reporting that Sigurdsson is on his way to Germany to discuss a move to one of German’s top flight clubs. Hoffenheim have no tradition as a big club in the Bundesliga, but were promoted for the first time in 2007/08 season and led the league for a number of weeks in their debut season before eventually finishing 7th, with another mid table finish last season.

Having just sold star midfield Carlos Eduardo to Rubin Kazan, they are in the market for an attacking midfielder so this rumour does make sense, everything adds up.

However Sigurdsson has said another season in the Championship will do his development no harm, and he was as delighted as ever after finding the net against Leicester on Saturday.

Keep it Vital Reading for all the transfer news ahead of Tuesday evening’s deadline.
