Former Royal Gylfi Sigurdsson was on fire on Monday evening, scoring two outstanding goals for the Iceland under 21’s in a play off against Scotland.
He was dropped down to the under 21’s as they had a chance to qualify for a major under 21’s tournament, and he did not disappoint! He opened the scoring in the second half with a winderful strike in the top corner, before Chris Maguire equalised with a shot straight from the kick off that went in over the keeper.
If those two goals were good, the third of the game was even better. A 35 yard shot that was still rising when it hit the roof of the net.
