There was some good news on the injury front today, as several recently-injured first team players got 45 minutes under their belt’s.
According to Reading Post editor Charles Watts, Danny Guthrie, Garath McCleary, Danny Williams, Glenn Murray and Anton Ferdinand played in a training ground match. It is unknown whether this was a friendly against another team or just internal, but either way, very good news.

Glenn Murray played 45 minutes today as well. He’s fine for Saturday #readingfc

That’s great news, especially for McCleary and Williams, who we have missed massively over the past few months. In some ways, he have missed the defensive experience of Anton Ferdinand too. Watts also reckons Guthrie could be involved this weekend.
Get the impression that Guthrie could be involved this weekend, the others very close now. Jem a couple of weeks behind #readingfc

Adkins should already have learnt from this season to not try and rush Guthrie back, as he could risk enough injury, or can struggle with the pace of the game. It will be good to see him back though, as his experience in midfield will be a massive boost to the whole team.
