The friendly match between Reading and Charlton has been called off following discussions between both teams.

The reason being due to the two teams being drawn with each other in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The Royals have moved quickly to securinng another fixture on the same day and will play Bristol Rovers instead of Chris Powell’s team.

Brian McDermott’ will take his team to the Memorial Stadium to face Paul Buckle’s side which should prove to be a good test considering they are bound to be one of the front runners in League 2, following their recent relegation from League 1.
