Royals defender joins Dons on loan

Reading defender Angus McDonald has joined AFC Wimbledon on a six-month loan deal.


The 19-year old joins the League Two side until January, with Dons boss Terry Brown missing out on his original target of fellow defender Michael Hector, who instead joined Shrewsbury Town.


McDonald, an England U19 international, had loan spells with Basingstoke Town and Torquay United last season. Despite not yet making an appearance for the first-team side at the Madejski Stadium, McDonald has captained the academy side for consecutive seasons.
