Royals defender could still makes Wolves move

Kaspars Gorkss went on loan to Wolves in January and hasn’t had the best of times in the Midlands, but could still make a permanent move to Molineux.

The 31-year old joined the Championship side on loan after losing his place in the Royals fist team and a move was on the cards if Wolves were to stay up. However, it looks unlikely that Dean Saunders’ side will be playing second division football next season, but a move for Gorkss could still happen according to the Welshman.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Saunders said: ‘I haven`t had a chat with him yet – he`s better than that level (League One) and, hopefully, it doesn`t come to it. He`ll have his fingers crossed more than anybody that we can do something because he likes it here. We`ve just got to win this game and then we`ll have a chat next week.”

From what I have been reading from Wolves fans, it seems they are not keen on signing the defender on a permanent deal. Kaspars is a defender with great experience, who is arguably too good for the Championship, yet not technically good enough for the Premier League. Another good servant, but someone whose future will be better suited abroad.
