Liam Rosenior left Fulham to sign for Reading on transfer deadline day, with Seol Ki-Hyeon moving in the other direction.

Now Liam Rosenior has lifted the lid on his departure, claiming his relationship, or lack of prompted this. He says that is was his decision to leave due to differences he has with Lawrie Sanchez, “It was my choice to leave Fulham to move to Reading,” Liam Rosenior told the media.

“Sometimes you don’t get on with the manager and everyone knows me and Lawrie didn’t see eye-to-eye.

His claims are that Lawrie Sanchez tired to shift the blame of certain goals onto him, something he saw as being disrespectful, but he is now happy where he is and he probably took a swipe of his own at Lawrie Sanchez, he also told the media, “He tried to make it into a playing issue like I wasn’t good enough, but that was never the case. I found that hard. I was upset and surprised.

“For Lawrie to talk about the team conceding certain goals and putting my name to it was pretty disrespectful and I want to prove to people I’m a better defender than that.

“Steve Coppell is the right guy to take me on to the next level because he has great experience as a manager and a player.”

Whatever reasons bought Liam Rosenior to Reading one thing that can’t be doubted is that ultimately we got the better end of the deal involving him and Seol Ki-Hyeon, who despite being a very good player would not have had the longevity that Liam Rosenior will.

What can you say to this really? It wasn’t a real secret that the two were not on the best of terms though was it. I’d expect a counter claim from Sanchez though no doubt.
