Reading and Wolves played out a six-goal thriller at the Madejski Stadium, with Glenn Murray’s late deflected strike earning a share of the points.

The opening goal of the game came courtesy of Michael Hector’s first goal for the Royals, as he headed home Norwood’s firm cross. Wolves responded well after the half time break though and got an equaliser, as former Royal James Henry was free at the back post from Sakho’s cross.

Just minutes after this, the away side were in front and the defending wasn’t any better than the first. Jordan Obita’s poor clearance allowed Lee Evans to pounce. However, Adkins’ men responded superbly, with Jake Taylor leveling the scores again, just a minute later.

Wolves would have thought they’d nicked it with five minutes to go, as a corner ended up in the net, with the unfortunate Nick Blackman appearing to the final touch. Glenn Murray had the last laugh though, as his deflected shot in the last minute earned the Royals a deserved point.
