Reading fell to their second consecutive home defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers, with Craig Conway getting the first half winner at the Madejski Stadium.
Reading started the game well buoyant from their victory last weekend over QPR, but failed to test Paul Robinson in the Rovers goals. From a Royals set piece, Blackburn broke up the pitch, with Craig Conway’s effort deflecting in off skipper Jobi McAnuff.
It wasn’t clicking for us today, although we should have had a penalty in the second period, when a Rovers defender handled in the area to deny Alfie a clear shot on goal six yards out. The linesman kept his flag down, meaning the Royals stay sixth, but only just!
