Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has said he has no regrets in making his move to Reading over the summer and turning down his former side Fulham.

The 28-year old was with Martin Jol’s side for five months in the second-half of last season’s Premier League campaign, but decided to join the Russian Revolution at Reading, instead of West London. The Cottagers’ currently sit in 8th place in the Premier League, while the Royals sit in the relegation zone, but Pog says he has no regrets.

Speaking to Sport Express in Russia, Pogrebnyak was quoted as saying: ‘I wouldn’t say it will be a special game.’I didn’t play for three years at Fulham, only about four months. But I follow the matches of my previous clubs. Sometimes I imagine myself in their squad. I have never made a secret of it that I liked playing under Martin Jol’s management.’

‘But I don’t regret anything as the best players left Fulham. It’s still a question how they will handle the case. I hope fortune will favour against Fulham.’
The Russian international had a very good stint at Craven Cottage last campaign, scoring six goals 12 goals during his first tenure in English football.
