Reading secured a superb 2-1 victory at Norwich this afternoon, thanks to two first-half goals from young centre-half Jake Cooper.

Nigel Adkins made two changes from the Cardiff loss, as Jake Cooper came in for the suspended Alex Pearce, while Garath McCleary made his first start of the season, at the expense of Cox. It was Norwich who took an early lead though, as Gary Hooper scored from close-range.

A response was swift from the Royals though, as Jake Cooper was too strong for his marker at the back post and headed home. The young centre-half wasn’t done there though, as he scored a carbon-copy just before the half time break, to put the Royals in front at Carrow Road.

The second half was a dire one in terms of action and chances, as Norwich dominated the ball, but failed to create many opportunities. A great win in the end for us, which will hopefully give the squad good confidence going into next week’s game against Bolton at the Mad Stad.

Full match report to follow Sunday morning.
