Vital Reading takes a look at the opposition’s key man, ahead of this evening’s game with Huddersfield.

The former Bradford striker was finally plucked from League One in January, with many suitors ready to take him, but Huddersfield was the team that got the prized man. 42 goals in 91 games for Phil Parkinson’s side even gained interest from ourselves, but didn’t have the funds.

Wells has had a good start to life with the Terriers so far, scoring seven goals last season and has already scored a hat trick this campaign, in the league cup last week. He is yet to open his account in the league, but will want to put that right against us tonight.

This will also be a big test for Michael Hector, who put in a great performance against Ipswich on Saturday. Last time we came up against Wells, he gave Morrison a run around, so lets hope that Pearce and Hec can deal with the threat of power and pace he will pose tonight.
