Vital Reading takes a look at the opposition’s key man, ahead of this afternoon’s game with Middlesbrough.

The 26-year old has already had a lively summer, having gone to the World Cup with Ghana and is now playing a big part in Aitor Karanka’s plan for the season. 12 goals in 40 games was an impressive ratio for the former Bristol City man last season, which he will want to improve on.

Adomah also has a habit of scoring against us too, having done it for Boro last season (a cracking goal as well) and also doing so for Bristol City on a few occasions. He possesses great power and pace on the right-hand side, well backed-up by the experienced right-back Damia Abella.

It will prove a stern test for whoever is left-back, which remains unknown at the moment, as our two left-backs are out injured at the moment. I imagine Gunter will play there, as he did against Scunthorpe, as the likes of Long and Griffin will probably struggle with Adomah’s style.
