The chance of young loanee’s Michael Hector and Jordan Obita getting to play at Wembley have ended, after their side Barnet lost 1-0 (2-1 on aggregate) to rivals Swindon Town last night.

Hector, 19, found himself on the right-side of defence due to the Bee’s current injury problems. However, despite usually being a centre-back, he put in a strong and composed performance against a strong Swindon team at the County Ground.

The London-based League Two side, managed by former Royal Lawrie Sanchez, have seen a decent revival since the arrival of young defender Michael Hector. He has made 16 appearances, scoring his first goal for them last week.

Recent reports have also stated that their could be potential interest from Premier League and Championship sides in Hector, following some promising performances for Barnet. More to come on that story in the next few days.

Young winger Jordan Obita came on for the final 30 minutes and looked very lively for Lawrie Sanchez’s side on the left flank. Still at the tender age of 18 and also being an England U19 international, emphasis huge potential in the academy product.
