Reading midfielder Danny Guthrie has said that Royals fear no one, as they approach Sunday’s game with Tottenham.

Brian McDermott’s side have not played a Premier League fixture since the 4-2 defeat to Chelsea on 22nd of August, but the former Newcastle midfielder remains confident that the Royals can get a result from the game against Andre Villas-Boas’ side, who are also without a win this current campaign.

Speaking to the Slough Observer, Guthrie said: ‘We gave a great account of ourselves at Chelsea and, from day one, we’ve said it doesn’t matter who we are playing, we want to win the game. We tried doing that at Stamford Bridge and we’ll be trying again on Sunday.’

‘We’re at home, it’s our first game on the telly and I’m sure it will be a great occasion for everyone involved. It’s been a long break after missing the Sunderland game and then the international break, but it is what it is. I don’t really know if it will affect us but at least we’ve got time to prepare for the Spurs game.’
