Shorey has been out of favour at Aston Villa this season, and in truth has never really settled since his move to the Midlands from the Mad Stad in the summer of 2008.
He has left on loan and decided to join Nottingham Forest until the end of December and will help to solve the defensive problems at the City ground.
Despite looking for a way out of Villa Park, it is not thought that Shorey’s stay back in the Championship will be a permanent one with a number of admirers looking to pounce when the transfer window opens in January.
