Adam Federici, the third choice Reading keeper, has signed a one-month loan deal with League One`s Bristol City.

Paperwork on the contract was completed quickly and the 21 year old is expected to be on the team sheet in Bristol`s game tonight against Northampton tonight.

The Australian born stopper is said to be excited about the prospect of first team football, speaking to the official Reading website, Federici said:

“This will be a good move for me. I`m looking forward to pushing for a starting place. I`ve heard good things about Bristol City so it will be interesting to see how things go.”

Federici is contracted with the Royals until the end of the season and spent the former season on a rolling contract with the club.

The Aussie has yet to start in a first team game for Reading, although he featured in pre-season friendlies, and has been included in the team in previous league and cup matches.

In other news, Glenn Little is set to stage his comeback in a reserve match against Aston Villa tonight. Newcomer Ulises De La Cruz is poised to play for the club for the first time in the match against his former team.

The game kicks off at 7pm and is free entry in celebration of the club`s first Soccer PM fixture.
