Royals under 21 coach Martin Kuhl has praised the youngsters that have made the step up to the first team.

The likes of Jordan Obita and Jake Taylor have already made their league debuts this season, with fellow promising youngsters Aaron Tshibola and Gozie Ugwu bordering along the first team fringes. Kuhl has commented on the ability of the youth players at the club and the progressive they have made.

Speaking to the Official Reading FC website, Kuhl said: ‘They’ve done well and we’re really pleased that they’ve gone into the first team – and the objective is for them to not come back! They’re good players. we’ve got a lot of talent at the cclub.’

‘It’s a dog-eat-dog world in the first team and you’ve got to be at your best, and if not someone will take your place. The last two games have been really good for them. We got beaten by an experienced Wolves side but a lot of our youngsters got a lot of it.’
