Steve Clarke has heavily hinted he will make changes against Bournemouth tonight, but doesn’t care upsetting their promotion rivals.

Our FA Cup semi-final is just four days away, meaning Clarke could make several changes to the side which will appear at Wembley on Saturday. This could potentially frustrate Bournemouth’s promotion rivals, who will not want to see Clarke field a weakened team.

Speaking to the Reading Post, Clarke said: “Any other club at this moment in time I don`t have any interest in. Some people will tell you I make lots of changes every week. I only focus on Reading. I want to win every game. I only want to do what`s good for this club.’

All of the usual under 21 players appeared in the victory over Arsenal yesterday, so I can’t see Clarke changing the XI, like the Watford game. I can see six or seven changes, but a large core staying the same. As long as Zat Knight is nowhere the team, we’ll hopefully do OK.
