Huddersfield striker Simon Church has hinted at a possible move away from his parent club Reading.

The 23-year old made his first appearance for the Terriers in their 1-0 victory at Barnsley and was pivotal in their winning goal, as his fine cross allowed Jermaine Beckford to head home the winner. Church is out of contract in the summer and would be allowed to talk to clubs beyond January, meaning a move away from the Madejski Stadium could be likely.

Speaking to the Reading Post, Church said: “I know I`m only here for a month at the moment, but I want to give it my all. I`ve been waiting for my chance to play football and now I`m going to give my all. Perhaps something will happen at the end of it, but that`s up to everyone else. I will keep my head down, work hard and take my chances when they come.’

‘I`ve been playing for Wales and in the reserves. However, it`s not the same as coming here and playing at the weekend. I felt strong, I lagged a bit towards the end, but it was a tough game and I`m pleased to get through the 90 minutes. I was just really pleased to play and show people what I can do. Hopefully that is the start of good things.”
