Checks being made on new owner

The Football League are currently doing their part, as our new Thai owner goes closer to taking over the club.

Samrit Bunditkitsada and his Asian consortium signed a deal to takeover 90% of the club last week, but the relevant checks still need to be completed by the Football League. Hopefully they will do a better job than last time though – we could do without another Anton!

Considering the Thai businessman already has experience of running a football club in his native Thailand, I would imagine it shouldn’t prove a problem. Sir John seems very confident that it will go through successfully and I am more than willing to take his word for it.

Fingers crossed, everything should be completed in around two weeks time, but the sooner the better. I’m sure Adkins and Hammond have already formed a list of transfer targets and despite not having the deal done yet, will be given money to spend in the next few weeks.
