Reading travel to Griffin Park for the last game before the international break. They will be looking for their first win of the season, whilst Brentford are looking to bounce back from last weeks defeat at Burnley.

Predicted Line-ups

Brentford 4-2-3-1- Button; Mccormack, Tarkowski, Dean, Bidwell; Kerschbaumer, Diagouraga; Vibe, Judge, Gogia; Hoffman.

Reading 4-4-2- Bond; Gunter, McShane, Ferdinand, Obita; Mccleary, Williams, Norwood, Quinn; Sa, Blackman.

Brentford Team News:

Nico Yennaris and Sam Saunders are back in contention after their loan spells with Wycombe. Brentford are a new look side now with Andre Gray and Alex Pritchard having left the club. New forwards Lasse Vibe, Gogia and Hoffman are all expected to start.

Player to watch: Lasse Vibe

Reading were interested in Lasse Vibe in January. Unfortunately, we were unable to agree a fee with the club for the forward so he remained at the Sweedish outfit. It was thought that we would rekindle our interest in Vibe but that wasn’t the case and Brentford signed him this summer. Lasse has struggled to adapt to the English game as of yet but Vibe has pace and an eye for a goal. It would be typical if he were to score today.

Reading Team News:

Reading are still without youngsters Cooper and Keown, whilst new signing Paolo Hurtado is not yet fit. Pogrebnyak left the club for Dynamo Moscow in the week so he’s obviously not available. Fernandez may make his first start and Blackman will be hoping to start after his impressive start to the season.

Player to watch: Nick Blackman

Blackman has started this season really strongly. However, Nick seems to be second fiddle to Robson-Kanu who isn’t exactly the fans’ favourite. Blackman started against Portsmouth on Tuesday and put in another good performance, scoring our first goal. Nick must start today and hopefully he’ll continue his good start to the season.

Did You Know?

Brentford did the double over Reading last season. The Bees beat us 3-1 at Griffin Park and 2-0 at the Mad Stad.

Match Prediction:

This will be a wonderful win for the Royals and also a much needed one. I’ve got a good feeling about this one and feel we may come away with the 3 points. 1-0 Reading
