Reading forward Nicholas Bignall has joined League One side Exeter City on a one-month loan deal.

The Reading born player can play on the wing or up front and provides Paul Tisdale’s side with much needed cover up top, with John O’Flynn and Guillem Bauza both doubtful for the start of the season.

He has endured loan spells at League One teams the past few season with Southampton, Brentford and Bournemouth. However, he did not score for any of these clubs.

The 21-year old has made 1 first team appearance for the Royals, coming against Barnsley in the 09/10 season.

Bignall has also appeared in the Carling Cup on many occasions for the Royals, most notably against Burton Albion where he scored 2 goals.
