The Royals first round game in the Carling Cup against Charlton has been confirmed to be played on Tuesday 9th August, 7.45 K.O.

Reading were due to play Chris Powell’s league 1 outfit in a friendly on 26th July, but both clubs agreed to postpone the friendly due to the two clubs being drawn in the first round in the Carling Cup.

The game against Gus Poyet’s Brighton has also been moved. It was due to take place Easter Monday, has now been moved to Tuesday 10th April, 7.45 K.O.

The Seagulls are back in the Championship following a 5 year absence and did so in style, accumulating a fantastic 95 points and finishing first in the table.
