Reading have only 9 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.
With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Reading find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in third place in the table in the Play Off spots and importantly with a six point gap to Leeds United in seventh place, hopes of promotion remain more than alive having returned to back to back victories over Easter.
With a six point gap to Newcastle United in second place though, with nine remaining that is probably too long a shot now but it remains mathematically possible and one more win should guarantee the Play Offs.
Then it’s about the season extension and trying to head towards Wembley with some momentum to give us the best possible shot of a top flight return.
