The Royals welcome West Brom to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, looking to continue our excellent run of form. However the Baggies are the highest scoring team in the division and are desperate to secure promotion back to the Premier League. A full match preview is here…

Vital Quotes:

Defender Matt Mills –

The games can`t come quick enough at the minute and we`re loving it. To beat Leicester City, a team in fourth place, was a great achievement and we now just want to keep that roll going.’

On loan right back Andy Griffin –

‘Without saying ‘yes, we are safe` just yet, we all believe we can go on and win some more games. That`s the attitude in the team.’

Reading Team News:

The Royals will be without Ivar Ingimarsson, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, whilst Jay Tabb will also miss the game with a sprained ankle picked up at Leicester on Wednesday.

Brynjar Gunnarsson will replace Tabb, whilst Zurab Kizhanishvili will continue to partner Matt Mills at centre back. Andy Griffin and Ryan Bertrand will make up the rest of the defence, while Gunnarsson will be partnered by Brian Howard in the centre of midfield.

The inform duo of Jimmy Kebe and Gylfi Sigurdsson will spearhead our attacking midfield, alongside Jobi McAnuff whilst Shane Long is expected to keep his place as the loan striker despite Simon Church’s cameo on Wednesday night.

Player to watch: Jobi McAnuff

With Kebe and Sigurdsson the inform duo at the moment, Jobi McAnuff is being some what forgotten about. The winger keeps promising us goals and he will be keen to forget his sending off against the Baggies in the FA cup 5th round replay back in February.

West Brom Team News:

Midfielder Chris Brunt will miss the game with an ankle injury whilst Robert Koren is doubtful with a calf strain. They add to an ver increasing injury list that includes Roman Bednar, Marek Cech and Gonzalo Jara.

Player to watch: Graeme Dorrens

Star man Dorrens has already weighed in with 18 assists so far this season and Brynjar Gunnarsson will have to be right at the very top of his game to contend with the Scottish international midfielder.

Last Meeting

Wednesday 24th February 2010, West Brom 2-3 Reading AET.

Match Prediction:

This will be one of hardest games for a long while but we have shown in the FA cup that we are more than a match for the Baggies and I’m backing us to take a share of the spoils in an exciting game. 2-2

Next Fixture:

Saturday 3rd April 2010, Ipswich (A)
