Young Royals midfielder Jake Taylor has extended his loan spell at League One side Exeter City until the end of the year, agreed by both clubs.

The Welsh U21 player has been a big hit at St. James’ Park over the past few weeks, playing eight times for the Grecians and doubled his goal tally this past weekend against Yeovil, scoring his second goal.

Taylor has already had a loan spell at League Two outfit Aldershot Town this season but failed to make himself a regular name on the team sheet.

The 19-year can play in an advanced central role or on the wing. He has already made one first team appearance for Reading at the end of the last season against Derby County.
