Former Royals manager, and RFC legend, Steve Coppell could be set for a sensational return to football management with another of his former clubs – Crysal Palace after Neil Warnock opted to leave Selhurst Park for QPR.

Warnock decided to leave Palace, currently in administration, to become Rangers 4th manager of the season and it leaves a vacancy that Coppell could be keen to fill.

He told ESPN’s ‘Between the Lines’ programme on Monday night that he is ready for a return to management and with Simon Jordan no longer in control of the Eagles, he may be interested.

What was clear, even before this interview, is that Coppell wants another job. He is a regular guest of numerous football shows, possibly even more tan Iain Dowie, and is getting his face recognised once more.

Be it at Palace, or elsewhere, Steve Coppell will soon be back!
