Boy, has been a good decade for the Royals?! The Championship winning season, 2 years in the Premiership and even last year we managed to make the play offs!

There must be a number of contenders for Vital Reading’s player of the decade, thinking right back to the early part there was Nicky Forster who got us the play offs in 2003 with his goals in our first season back in the Championship and even before that there was Jamie Cureton’s equalising goal at Brentford to get us promoted.

From 2005 onwards there are so many to choose from, Graeme Murty, Kevin Doyle, Marcus Hahnemann, Dave Kitson and even current club captain Ivar Ingimarsson.

Let us know in the comments below who would get your vote and the top 10 will be put to voting on 1st December, for one month, to decide Vital Reading’s player of the decade.

Murty is the obvious choice but my vote will go to Marcus Hahnemann. Long serving goalkeeper who I think we are really missing this season, shame he is just sat on the Wolves bench!
